A few weeks ago I wrote about my three words for 2010. One of them was aspire, and what I said was, “I’m going to consider ideas and plans that might be too complicated or impractical (a larger work space, perhaps?), and allow myself to long for things that might be just out of my reach.”

This week’s word is very much related: hope. I have been working on this plan to have a bit more space for my business, and I’ve taken the first step to make it happen. It’s hard to let myself get excited about it at this early stage (I’m back in that “is this impractical? Is it ever going to happen?” place), but I am hopeful. I’ll share more details if and when I get to the next stage.

How about you? Are you hoping for something this year? Are you working to make it happen? What do you hope 2010 will bring for you?

“Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all.” ~Emily Dickinson

“The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope.” ~Barbara Kingsolver

“Once you choose hope, anything’s possible.” ~Christopher Reeve
