“Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.” -A. A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
Did you ever have a bad day and feel like you just didn’t have anything to be grateful about? When everything is going wrong, it’s hard to think there’s room for gratitude.
When I feel like this, I start small: I enjoy a piece of chocolate, admire the late afternoon light, breathe in the scent of fallen leaves. Even a “small heart” has room for little things like that, and before you know it, it’s full of gratitude. Very small heart, very big gratitude.
What do you think? Do you ever find it challenging to feel grateful? What helps you?
