Kiva Updates: we’ve made 308 team loans (449 total loans) for a total of $13,975.

If you’d like to know more about the women we support, you can find Kiva updates in our loan history here. We could not have supported their businesses without your support of ours, so thank you!

supporting kiva

We’ve been donating to Kiva.org since 2008. First we chose to support women’s education and entrepreneurship all over the world. To that end, we’ve made donations to women and their businesses in 57 countries. We’ve also provided microloans to farmers, manufacturers, dressmakers, beauticians, artists, and more, including cheese makers. (Yes, cheese makers!) And our educational loans have helped to pay for tuition, books, and school expenses.

More recently Kiva has allowed us to help women business owners impacted by COVID-19, many of them here in the U.S. Through the crowdfunded loans of Kiva, U.S. borrowers have access to loans of up to $15,000 at 0% interest. Kiva extends loans to business owners who might be turned away by conventional lenders. This includes minority women, who now own nearly 50 percent of women-owned businesses. We love helping to expand business and educational opportunities for women everywhere and we celebrate their successes.
