As summer comes to an end, we’re trying to fit in as many beach days as possible. But when we run out of warm weather, we can always throw a beach themed party.
How can you enjoy the tropics when you’re stuck in the living room? Here are some ideas for tropical decorations, flavors, cocktails, and favors to make your beach party or tropical shower a big hit!
Beyond Be-leaf
Use tropical leaves on the tables or as decoration on the walls. You can also use paper to create leaves, or paint them on a backdrop. Here are some tropical leaf templates you can use.
Take a dip
Give your party a tropical flavor with this mojito yogurt fruit dip. A simple recipe with the tang of lime, delicious with fruit kebabs or as a topping for fruit salad. Try bananas, mango, or pineapple to transport your tastebuds to the islands!
Say it with pineapple
Wrap your welcome or gift bags and top them off with these pineapple tags. Download the free template here for the printable tags with either a “welcome” or “thanks” message, then print and attach with ribbon.
Balmy Favors
Share tropical lip balm flavors like Beachside Peach—and serve the matching cocktail, too!
Or find bridal shower or bachelorette favors with a tropical twist for your destination wedding or beach themed party. (Coconut Twist is one of our favorites.)

How about you—how are you enjoying these last days of summer? Do you like beach theme parties, too? What are your favorite ways to celebrate?
Your idea of using leaves was unbe-leafable!! (wink wink)
This party theme would be great to try during the winter where I live. The arctic blasts off Lake Michigan are brutal, leaving us all dreaming of sunshine, flip flops and sandy beaches. 🙂
Great tips- you need to republish in February!
