You know, I love my job of helping you to celebrate your favorite people. There’s such joy when you talk about your plans, and your excitement is contagious!
But you know what might be even better? When you share those memories and pictures of the big day.
I know you don’t want to brag, so allow me: you throw some phenomenal parties. And because there’s nothing more inspiring than seeing how other folks are celebrating, I’ve gotten permission to share a few of your ideas with everyone (thank you!). I hope you find these ideas as fun as I d0—and make sure to read to the end for a list of resources for your own party!
Here’s how to throw a Breakfast at Tiffany’s party.
Let it shine
Celebrations like this need sparkle, and you really know how to bling it! Sharon B. says she shared her lip balm favors “served up…Tiffany style on silver trays with diamonds.”
Look at all the gems at Esther’s shower! She also added strings of pearls to her table settings:
Find something blue
Along with diamonds and pearls at Esther’s shower, the tables were beautifully decorated with boxes and linens in Tiffany blue. Ooh, and cupcakes and lotion favors in that hue, too.
When Kathryn threw a 30th birthday party for her friend Mary Kate, she did not “go lightly” on that iconic color, either. “We had Tiffany colored balloons, Tiffany boxes filled with chocolates, Tiffany blue decor, and an Audrey/Tiffany box themed cake.”
Dress the part
Tell your guests: “come as you are…as long as you are Audrey Hepburn.” Kathryn Young says that for Mary Kate’s party, “Girls dressed up in black dresses, pearls, sunglasses and tiaras and gloves. We had a photo booth area to capture every guest.”
While you’ll all be the spitting image of Holly Golightly, can you really ever have too much Audrey? Kathryn shared “Audrey posters and quotes from the movie…throughout the rooms.” And Esther’s shower shared Holly Golightly images on the tables as well as the favors.
Favors for your favorites
And speaking of favors, we know you love sharing little gifts with your Breakfast at Tiffany’s party guests in that certain color. You’ve seen the lip balms and lotions thanks to our generous friends above, but here’s a little more Tiffany party favor inspiration:
