“I’m planning a party for next weekend, and I’m feeling a little nervous. Okay, a lot nervous.
“How will I ever have time to do all the shopping, decorating, crafting, and everything else (curse you, Pinterest!)? And what if I want to order favors online? Can I still get them personalized and delivered in time?”
If you find yourself in the same boat, you’re not alone. While we can’t help with those other preparations, we CAN get your favors done—but it might involve a rush order. Here’s everything you need to know about rush orders.
1. What IS a rush order?
Most of our items can be prepared, shipped, and in your hands within 10 days. If you need your favors faster than this—or you need a guaranteed arrival date—that’s a rush order.
2. Does a rush order have lower quality products?
No! The products are created and decorated the same way, with the same attention to detail. Rush orders simply get completed first.
3. How do I request a rush order?
To make sure we get your order to you in time, the first thing you need to do is to share the date of your event. In the screenshot of our checkout page below, it’s the circled field at the top.
We can rush your order 1. in our studio AND 2. through the mail. If you need your order within a week, please request both by first checking the “I’m in a hurry!” box (first arrow below), which will put you at the front of the line; and second, by selecting the Express shipping method (second arrow below).
You may choose paid Priority mail with the rush order fee to have your order rushed in our studio, but not through the mail. Please note that Priority shipping—free or paid—is not guaranteed to arrive by a particular date. The rush order fee will not work with Free Priority Shipping; your fee will be refunded and your order filled in the order in which it was received.
Still have questions about exactly when your order will arrive? Feel free to:
- Call us (207) 729-6840.
- Email us
We’ll let you know right away if it is possible to accommodate your request, as well as providing samples for your approval (when appropriate), estimated costs, and ship dates. We can even take your order directly.
4. Is there a fee for rush orders?
There is a $10 fee for placing your order at the front of our queue. Express mail shipping is also more expensive than the Priority mail option.
5. Express mail is so expensive! Does my rush order have to ship this way?
Not necessarily, but it really depends on our schedules (yours AND ours). If you need favors in two or three days, this is only possible if we use Express shipping. If we get many requests for rush orders in the same week, Express shipping may be required in order to accommodate everyone. Remember, Priority mail is estimated to take 2-3 days to arrive, but this is NOT guaranteed. The only way we can guarantee arrival by a particular date is to use Express shipping.
6. I’m still not sure if you’ll be able to get my order done in time! Help!
If you have any questions at all about your order—how long it will take, what shipping method to use, or whether your order actually needs to be rushed—please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m happy to answer any questions or even take your order details over the phone or by email.
